He got exactly what he dished out.  Do I feel sorry for him or his family…..NO!  They went along with what he did.  They are just as guilty as he was.

So, reporters, give it a rest.  Nobody cares. The scumbag got what he deserved.

HELLO!  I’m almost 60!  Do I look like a two year old to you?  Do you think your position allows you to do such a thing to another human being?  You can definitely be replaced.

OMG!  Don’t get me started on stupid people!  I know everyone has a stupid moment.  Chalk it up to blond roots or a senior moment.  But really, there are some stupid folks out there.

For example, those that can’t drive…stay off the road. You’ll kill someone with your stupidity.  There are buses you can use.

Those who can’t read…take a class.  There is no excuse for not being able to read in this country.  Classes abound.  Take advantage of them.

And, please, if you can’t spell, look it up or use spell check.  It’s there for a reason. Take advantage of it.

If you own a computer and don’t know how to use it, take classes.  If it still doesn’t sink in, sell it, you’ll never get it.  It’s a waste of time for you.

Now where did I put my wand?  There’s quite a few folks who need to be hit with a little magic.

Then out of the blue I hear this impact sound, almost like an explosion.  I was thrown forward by the impact, then thrown back by my seatbelt, hitting my head on the padded headrest.  It all happened so fast, yet seemed to be going in slow motion. 

I felt the impact in the middle of my upper back first, then my left shoulder, neck and finally my head as it hit the headrest.  I was stunned, but somehow managed to get my phone out of my pocket and call 911.  I remember they asked if we needed an ambulance.  I responded “No, I don’t think so.”  So they sent the Highway Patrol.  In the meantime we managed to pull our cars off to the side of the road while we waited.

I remember dreading getting out of the car to take a look at the damage.  But I was surprised…my car only had a dent in the license plate.  But his car….bent hood, cracked windshield, shattered passenger side window (glass was everywhere on the road), deployed air bags, a trunk that had popped open and wouldn’t close and there was smoke comming from his engine.

When the Highway Patrol arrived, he was ticketed for careless driving and his car had to be towed away.  I was given a copy of the report and told I could leave.

I did not see this comming.  That’s a good thing.  What if I had seen him barreling down on me…..I would have stiffened up, I would not have been relaxed, I would have probably been seriously injured and there would have been more damage to my car, his car and to him and his passenger.  As it is we “walked” away with our lives intact. 

So you see, sometimes it is a good thing if you don’t see it comming…

Do you go to eBay to buy widgets or get a pat on the head?  I go to buy stuff.  I don’t care if they leave me feedback first, second or not at all.  Feedback is VOLUNTARY!  It is NOT required by either party.

Did you READ the entire auction description and shipping policies?  If not, then it’s YOUR FAULT if the item is not what you thought it should be.

Are you a PITA (pain in the ass) buyer?  Do you demand this, that and the other(including partial refund) NOT offered in the listing and threaten negative feedback if you don’t get your way?  If so, then I hope you make every Blocked Bidder List on the site.

Are you a SLOW payer, wanting more time than is allowed in the listing or allowed by eBay?  If you can’t pay at the end of the auction, then DON’T BUY.  Simple as that.  Sellers don’t need your excuses.  No one cares and no one believes you.  They’ve heard it all before.

Do you complain about shipping AFTER you have committed to buy the widget?  Too bad!  You agreed to the shipping when you committed to buy the widget.  If you didn’t like it, you should have asked questions BEFORE buying or found a seller whose shipping you agreed with.

Are you the type of seller who buys from other sellers just to complain and leave negative feedback?  Then you are scum, a fraud,  and a waste of flesh.

Some people need to have a license to buy online and pass an IQ test just to own a computer.

I taught my hubby how to do crewel embroidery.  And he was better at it than I ever was.

Now it seems, even truckers are taking up hobbies, such as knitting, quilting and crochet.  Read this article.  It’s enlightening.

Bottom line:  If you’re male and want to pick up a hobby that is traditionally female, GO FOR IT!

The buyer sees a photo of what he/she wants, places a bid and gets lucky and wins the widget.  Then lo and behold, the item arrives in the mail and it is NOT what the buyer thought he bought.  WHY?

Because the buyer FAILED to read the item description.  Perhaps the description stated the item was non working and was for parts only, or the item was for just a pattern and not the finished product or the photo showed multiple items but the description stated the auction was only for ONE item, the red one, or the blue one.

The same goes for the shipping charges.  The buyer sees an item he/she wants and the starting bid is $0.99.  When the buyer wins, he/she is totally surprised that the shipping on this 2 ounce item is $14.99.  Again, WHY?  Because the buyer failed to read the item description stating the shipping charges.

Come on, people!!  READ the description!  If it’s not what you thought it was, hit the back button.  If the shipping is too high, hit the back button. No one is holding a gun to your head making you bid on these items.  If you have questions, ask BEFORE you place a bid.  If the seller fails to answer your question, move on to another seller.

And for heaven’s sake, check the seller’s feedback before you bid.  That can tell you alot about how the seller handles his business.

All  I can say is, Thank Goodness I do not sell anything on eBay.

First, will the recipient appreciate a handcrafted, handmade item?  If not, then it’s a waste of your time, not to mention the crafter’s time.  Handmade items are not created in a matter of minutes.  Most items, like handknit socks and mittens take several days to make.

Second, are you trying to find something cheap?  Then go to WalMart.  Handmade items involve some expensive tools and supplies.  Again, consider handknit socks and mittens.  If made with wool, they can be expensive to buy.  Wool is not cheap.  One skein or hank of wool yarn can cost up to and beyond $25.  That means the crafter must first buy the wool, then proceed to make the item.  Sometimes that one skein of yarn is not enough for one pair of socks and the crafter must have 2.

Yes, I know you can find items made from inexpensive supplies, even acrylic yarn, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

So if you are dead set on buying handmade, handcrafted items, consider the time and effort involved in making them and what the recipient will be doing with them. 

I am not trying to discourage you from buying handmade, handcrafted items.  On the contrary, I encourage it.  Crafters will appreciate your business.  Just keep in mind the cost to the crafter and you, its intended use and, of course, the recipient of the item.

Let me say I am rarely late paying my bills, but things do happen in life that make it impossible to pay something on time.. i.e. short paycheck due to illness (don’t have sick leave where I work).

Well Capital One did NOT send me a reminder that I was late, not even an email.  Instead they sent it straight to a collection agency (owned by them).  Needless to say they were paid double (actually more than double) this month and I sent an email voicing my displeasure at how they handled this situation.  I also told them I would be paying the card off and canceling it ASAP.  I also told them I would be recommending to friends, family and co-workers to pay theirs off and cancel it.

I could understand if I were habitually late or habitually missed a month, but I’m not and I don’t.

So here are my suggestions for handling payments to Capital One:

1.  Don’t be late with a payment.

2.   Pay more than the minimum amount due.

3.  Pay it off and cancel the card.

4.  If life throws you a curve, contact them and tell them you intend to pay, but it will be late and state the reason why.

5.  Never get another Capital One card as long as you live.

And the paycheck, that seems fine the rest of the year, never seems to be enough this time of year.  What’s the difference?  My bills haven’t changed.  I just can’t figure it.

I think I’m going to start a Christmas Club account in January for next year and sock a little away each payday just for this time of year. Plus I’m going to add more to my savings account.  Maybe that will help ease the load.  I’ll try not to stress over it.

I know a lot of folks won’t have much of a Christmas and I shouldn’t be complaining.  I’ll do what I can for them, even if it’s just change in the Salvation Army kettle.  Maybe even a few knit or crocheted items to be donated.

Hope all of you have a great Christmas and get to spend it with family and friends.  Remember those who are less fortunate…those nickles and dimes add up in those kettles.
